Folk or typical Peruvian clothing is designed from a mixture of Spaniard peasant colonial styles and pre-Spanish empires (mostly consisting of the Incas and Huari Empires). K'eperinaA woven cloth which is worn over the back and knotted in the front. This was made to carry children with ease since Peru and its early civilizations highly depended on agriculture and self-sufficiency.

MonteraThey were made to identify women from the village which they pertained to. They also provided shade.

LlicllaDue to the chilly Andean winds the women wear the llicilla, which are square woven cloths which act like shawls. They are secured onto the shoulders and held together by tupu’s (sturdy clothing pins).
